Hi! My name is Alex Edwards and I am currently a senior at the University of Wyoming. I hope to graduate in May with a degree in French and international studies, as well as a minor in public relations and the honors program. I am an initiated member of Chi Omega. I just came back from studying abroad in Tours, France and think that studying abroad is one of the most valuable experiences a student can have during their college experience.
A little background about me… I was born in Las Vegas, NV but I have lived in Lone Tree, CO for the majority of my life. For 3 years when I was little, my family lived in a small town outside of Frankfurt, Germany. I have a little sister, Erika, who attends the University of Missouri in Kansas City, and dances for the dance team and the dance program. My mom is going to school to be a homeopathic healer and my dad works in Blackhawk, CO for the Lodge Casino and he loves to hunt with a bow and arrow.
I love to travel, love to meet new people and see new things. That is one of the reasons why I loved studying abroad because every day was something new and exciting! That is also one of the reasons for this blog. I love learning about new things and blogging is very new to me. It will also be a tool that will help me increase my awareness of social media and to help me connect professionally.
After I graduate in May I hope to work in public relations for an international company, such as Disney. One of my silly goals would be to be one of the princesses in Disneyland. I have a lot of ideas of where I want to apply after school, and cannot wait to start this new part of my life. I love learning new things and am very excited for what my last year will entail!
